Disclaimer

This application will take 1-3 hours to complete. Your progress will be saved in local storage even if you close your browser or turn off your computer, but it is recommended that you do not use a shared computer, e.g. in a computer lab that will wipe all sessions after use. Instead, we highly recommend using a personal computer. If your browser session is deleted or “website data” is deleted, your progress will be lost. In most cases your browser sessions and website data are preserved unless they are intentionally deleted.

You will need to gather three reference and will need to have all three completed prior to serving at CBX. Your references must complete the online form for their respective position at the following links:

  1. Employer – Employer Reference Form – Copy link and send to your employer reference.
  2. Pastor – Pastor Reference Form – Copy link and send to your pastor reference.

Agreement to Cross Bar X Policies

1) As a manner of operation policy, we believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer is to glorify Jesus Christ in and through that life. Since our organization is interdenominational and the employees come from various denominational backgrounds, we ask our staff not to teach, promote or practice any controversial interpretation of the ministry or gifts of the Holy Spirit or any controversial doctrinal issues. These have historically acted to bring disunity and division. We are not asking staff to change their personal beliefs but simply to adhere to this policy which has been established for the order, harmony and good of all. For any questions about this, see the "Statement of faith" page on our website (Statement of Faith), or contact Tim Miller (970) 259-2716 tim@crossbarx.org.

2) Cross Bar X does not allow their seasonal staff to begin new dating relationships while at camp. It is our belief that we are best able to serve God when we are totally focused on Him and the ministry He has placed us in. Serving at CBX is an amazing opportunity to leave behind life’s distractions and spend the summer growing spiritually while focusing on God and His will for our lives. It is probable that at least some of the staff will experience attraction towards another staff members of the opposite gender, but we ask that no steps are taken toward a romantic relationship until after your employment at CBX is completed.

3) Staff are expected to make Godly life choices while they are employed at CBX. The following are a few examples of what we believe to be lifestyle choices that go against what God calls Christians to: engaging in intimacy outside of biblical parameters, ingesting media and material that is not wholesome (certain movies, TV shows, video games, music, literature, etc.), substance abuse and using recreational drugs (even “legal” substances), unwholesome language, and reckless behavior.

4) Cross Bar X requires its seasonal staff to abstain from drinking alcohol, substance abuse of any kind, and using recreational drugs (even “legal” substances), and smoking. This includes drinking or smoking anywhere at any time while employed at CBX, on or off camp property.

Any applicant who knowingly or willfully makes a false statement of any material or thing in the application is guilty of perjury in the second degree as defined in Section 18-8-503, C.R.S., and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished accordingly.

I am willing to be subject to the jurisdiction of Cross Bar X Youth Ranch for the current camping session. I understand that this applies to each camp and for the days between camps. I agree to abide by all camp policies and procedures. I also understand that the position for which I am applying will be very demanding physically, emotionally, and spiritually and I am willing to explore to the maximum every opportunity available for ministry and personal growth. I choose to cooperate with the staff and will openly share any disagreements or problems in a spirit of love if those circumstances should arise. I have considered this matter prayerfully.
