Below is a list of items that CBX is currently in need of as of November 2025.
- We are entering into phase 3 of the Eagle Lodge renovation. Eagle is our multi-use building that hosts meals, worship times, and serves as the camp office. Eagle is 50 years old and in need of renovation. We completed the exterior renovations in phases one and two last year, and are now starting on phase 3 which will encompass a kitchen and bathroom remodel and an expansion of dining hall space. Most of our kitchen was used and salvaged cabinets and materials when it went in back in 1977, so it’s definitely time! We are just putting together cost estimates, but the project is expected to be around 100K. We plan for a couple of years of fundraising and the project to begin in 2026/27.
- Paige Akers is graduating from CCU this winter semester and will be joining us for a 2-year internship. She will be raising support, but CBX has committed to supporting her at $1000 a month. This is a new expense for us, but one we believe will bless numerous young people and is well worth the investment.
- We would like to start up our foster family parent night out program again. In 2022, at the recommendation of our attorneys, we stopped working with the local Dept. of Human Services. DHS had asked us to sign a statement saying we would not speak of Jesus to the youth who attended. We would not agree to this, so the program ended. They have recently reached out and asked us to reconsider. We said we would not agree to that stipulation, but offered to run an independent program that they could promote to their families. For food, staffing, and overhead, we would need an annual budget of around $9,000.
- Lastly, we would like CBX to be a place where Pastors, their families, and missionaries could take a Sabbath. We currently rent the camp out to VRBO groups in the slower seasons but would like to transition the camp for this purpose. We would like to set up a fund that churches and individuals donate to so that CBX can provide this free of charge.
