Spend the summer and/or fall volunteering as an RV’er at Cross Bar X. CBX provides you a space to park your RV with full hookup and three meals a day during camp sessions in exchange for 20 hours a week of volunteer work.
Volunteers who come to Cross Bar X have had a rich and rewarding experience. Volunteers have helped make this ministry to disadvantaged youth possible. Cross Bar X maintains a ‘family type’ atmosphere where many long term friendships are developed. The following are specifics about the position.
What the Camp provides
The camp provides full RV hook ups and meals when they are served in the dining hall.
There are two camp seasons (summer and fall) available and you can sign up for one or both. We ask that our RV volunteers arrive the day prior to the beginning of staff training. Staff training for the Summer Camp season typically begins the last week in May while training for the fall Outdoor Education season begins the last week of August.
We ask that our volunteers work 20 hours per week. There are breaks between camps ranging from two to five days with a mid-summer “staff sabbath” break and a two week break between Summer Camps and the fall C.O.L.S. season. We are flexible to make hours and time work for you.
Types of Projects
The types of work projects at camp are endless! Some areas include: carpentry, building and equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance and repair, landscaping, groundskeeping, office work, kitchen help, and more.
Cross Bar X Youth Ranch is a non-denominational Christian camp. We desire volunteers that believe in our mission and promoting biblical principles and the gospel of Jesus Christ. All volunteers must agree with our statement of faith.
